Paris taxi service area

The Parisian taxi service area covers the departments of Paris Intramuros, Hauts de Seine, Val de Marne and Seine Saint Denis. However, some suburban cities have developed their own taxis, in which case the Parisian taxi driver will not be able to pick up a customer in the street and will have to leave the commune in question... This explains the reluctance of some drivers to take passengers to certain destinations. Roissy airport is not affected by this delimitation and remains part of the Paris zone (as does Orly).
